HYDERABAD: About 500 TDP activists chased and thrashed 20 pro- Telangana lawyers mercilessly after they demanded
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to spell out his stand on Telangana. Four lawyers - -Chandra Shekar Reddy, Venkat Rao,
Manjula and Buchi Reddy -- who suffered serious injuries were shifted to Srivani hospital.
Pro-Telangana lawyers reached the venue of the dharna and raised slogans demanding Chandrababu Naidu to come clean on the
contentious Telangana issue. Few minutes later and without much provocation, the irate TDP activists gatecrashed into the park and
chased the lawyers and beat them up black and blue. All the lawyers suffered injuries but four of them who suffered serious
injuries were shifted to the hospital after they were pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched on their faces. The TDP activists did not spare even the women lawyers and they too were manhandled and abused.
Refusing to tender an apology for the attack on advocates at Indira Park, TDP president N Chandrababu said that it was not fair
on the part of `a political party’ to disturb another party’s agitation on pressing people’s issues.
